In designing and building green spaces, recycling is not an afterthought. For LEED certification of a new building, for example, the standards require “an easily-accessible dedicated area or areas for the collection and storage of materials for recycling for the entire building.”
The featured picture shows half of the recycling room at Posty Card‘s LEED Platinum Certified building at 1600 Olive Street, Kansas City, where Greenability shares space. In our efforts to help Kansas City live well by living green, Greenability will profile green features of the building.
