Recycle personal care products & more

You can recycle razors, deodorant containers, toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, plastic food pouches, baby food packaging and more and at Scraps KC.

All packaging needs to be clean and dry. The non-profit will accept these items during regular business hours:

  • All brands of blades and razors, including systems and disposable units, replaceable-blade cartridge units, rigid plastic packaging and flexible plastic bag packaging
  • Toothbrushes, mouthwash bottles and caps, toothbrushes, floss containers and toothpaste tubes and caps
  • Deodorant containers and caps
  • Burt’s Bees branded personal care, lip care and beauty care packaging

Additionally, Scraps KC will accept these items for recycling:

  • Plastic food pouches and caps
  • Popsockets products and packaging
  • GoGo Squeeze plastic food pouch
  • Gerber baby food packaging, including flexible or rigid plastic packaging, shrink labels, plastic containers, plastic lids, flexible plastic pouches and Gerber baby clothing hangers

The recycling programs are hosted by Terracycle Recycling Program, Burt’s Bees, Gerber Recycling Program, Tom’s of Maine and Popsockets.

Scraps KC also accepts craft and art supplies, fabric, yarn, office supplies and more for resale and reuse at its store and for use in its repurposing workshops. For more information, visit Scraps KC or visit at 3269 Roanoke Parkway, Kansas City, MO.
